Toledo 4 door For Sale NOW SOLD

Post  Admin on Sun Jun 22, 2008 6:22 pm

Triumph Toledo 1974 1296cc four door saloon, only 27,000 miles from new - the engine still purrs like a kitten. A very original (now quite rare) car only for sale due to bereavement. Until now it has never been welded but now needs some attention as there are some areas of rust. MOT and taxed until September 08, some history.

Telephone evenings / weekends 01983 281427 to make arrangements to view.

flower CAR HAS BEEN SOLD

Toledo question

Post  Delvin on Mon Jul 07, 2008 11:06 pm

can I ask you a question, Admin? I have a Toledo engine in my Herald and it sounds like the big end bearings are on their way out. Would you know where I could get a set of standard size shells for this engine (1296). I know they are different from the Herald shells. Greatful, Delvin.

Toledo Shells

Post  Admin on Wed Jul 09, 2008 7:39 pm

Delvin

Speaking with Graham he has said try Fitchetts, Canley Classics, James Paddock, Rimmer Brothers and EBay perhaps. Mick Dolphin may also have new old stock.

You are correct the shells are different in a Herald engine however late spitfires are the same.

If you don't have any luck come back to me and I will track some down!

Angela

PS Are you on the Island Delvin would be great to know of another Toledo over here?
